What I’m working on.
A snapshot, updated every month or so. The idea comes from Derek Sivers’ now page movement.
At work
- Leading AI at BorgWarner from Enterprise IT, supporting functions such as engineering, manufacturing, SG&A, finance and quality.
- A focused set of lighthouse projects, each chosen to prove a pattern that can scale to production.
- Building the platform layers underneath: gateway, evaluation and observability, a governance and risk registry, and an agent runtime.
Building
- Rebuilding Sylang on the customer’s own data platform, Databricks first, with product line and variant management as the first slice.
- Exploring programme management for engineering on the same data, starting with a scheduling engine.
- ValueAI: value stream mapping from four kinds of evidence, before choosing where AI goes.
The book
- The draft edition of Sylang: MBSE for AI is online. Finishing the companion projects, front and back matter, and typesetting.
Experiments
- Running Qwen3.8-27B on vLLM on my home GPU server for agent work. What I learned.
- Building the evaluation suite for a small model that rewrites requirements into EARS notation without inventing anything.
